Richard Koppel, managing director
Rich has more than 20 years' experience in information technology development, implementation, consulting, and management. Prior to youDevise, he consulted to senior management at McKinsey & Company. During his 10 years with McKinsey, Rich guided financial services clients on IT management issues, developed product and market strategies for leading IT providers, and helped lead the firm's computer industry practice.

Rich was also a management consultant at the Information Consulting Group and at Coopers & Lybrand, where he directed large development and implementation projects in the securities industry.

Rich received a BSc in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from New York University, and a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Rochester.

Colin Berthoud, director of sales
Colin is a 20-year enterprise software development industry veteran. He co-founded Summit Financial Systems in 1994, the UK distributor for Summit, a US-based provider of derivatives software. Summit Financial Systems invested the capital it had accumulated in developing a new trading system product known as Tamesis (see www.tamesis.com).

Before co-founding Summit Financial Systems, Colin held senior sales, management and consulting roles at Logica, the leading UK systems integrator. When Logica became the UK distributor for Teknekron (now TIBCO) in the UK, Colin built the nascent business into one of Logica's largest and fastest growing business lines.

Colin gained a BA (Hons) from Oxford University in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.

Douglas Squirrel, chief technology officer
Douglas has managed the design, build, and testing of enterprise applications for blue-chip clients from utilities to financial services. He designed youDevise's Information Distribution Server and coaches the team that builds and maintains this revolutionary software. He has also created a team of performance experts who have achieved substantial speed and scalability improvements for a number of youDevise customer applications on a variety of technologies.

Douglas advises the board on technology directions for youDevise and regularly explains the inner workings of our technologies to customers and prospects. Prior to joining youDevise, Douglas developed core technology for TenFold Corporation.

Douglas holds a B.A. in mathematics from Reed College and Master's and Candidate's degrees in mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley.

Simon Ellis, principal consultant, trade ideas
Simon manages business development for our Trade Ideas business. He has wide-ranging experience across different asset classes and sectors within the financial arena. Most notably, Simon restructured the real-time ‘Thomson Global Markets’ proposition into IFR Real-Time / IFR Markets which then became the market leader in this space.

When Simon left Thomson Financial in the summer of 2001 he set up the European Division of Transaction Network Services – Financial Services Division (TNS-FSD), a secure IP network provider operating in the then burgeoning Electronic Execution (FIX) marketplace. Within 6 months Simon had driven TNS-FSD to become the market leader within Europe and the preferred supplier to many of the top buy and sell-side institutions. Since this time Simon has used his experience, knowledge and expertise to work for organisations such as Multex and Reuters amongst others as both an employee and as an independent consultant.

Simon holds a BA(Hons) in Business Administration from Huddersfield University.
